Limecraft Releases Version 2026.4 With Team-Based Access Control and GPU-Accelerated Processing
Limecraft announced on 16 June 2026 the release of Limecraft 2026.4, the fourth of eight planned platform updates for the year, introducing Team-Based Access Control, GPU-accelerated media processing for Apple Silicon Macs, and expanded translation controls.
The new Teams framework lets administrators manage user permissions across multiple workspaces from a single configuration, addressing a common bottleneck for organisations coordinating internal staff, freelancers and production partners across large numbers of productions. "Teams provides a scalable way to manage access rights consistently, reducing administrative effort while improving governance and transparency," said Maarten Verwaest, CRO of Limecraft. The release also adds a beta of GPU-accelerated video encoding and decoding within Limecraft Edge for Apple Silicon Macs, and new settings that let users balance translation turnaround speed against accuracy.
