Proton Camera Innovations Unveils PROTON LS Miniature Broadcast Camera Ahead of IBC 2026
Proton Camera Innovations announced on June 16, 2026 the launch of the PROTON LS, a miniature broadcast camera housed in a cylindrical, lipstick-style chassis built for wearable and on-vehicle applications, ahead of its public debut at IBC 2026 in Amsterdam (September 11-14, Booth 10.F21).
Built around a 1/3-inch global-shutter sensor, the PROTON LS captures 12-bit dynamic 1080p video with HDR support across HLG, PQ and S-Log3 gamma curves inside an IP67 weather-sealed housing measuring 19mm in diameter and 58mm in length and weighing approximately 50 grams including cable; the camera has already been used at rally sport events for low-angle and driver's-perspective shots. "The LS is the latest piece in a broader strategy," said Proton Camera Innovations CEO Marko Hopeken. "We are building a family of miniature broadcast cameras, all sharing the same DNA of exceptional image quality and rugged reliability."
