Zixi and Comcast Technology Solutions Partner on IP-Based C-Band Satellite Replacement
Zixi and Comcast Technology Solutions announced on July 16, 2026 a strategic integration between the Zixi Software Platform and Comcast Media360 that gives linear broadcasters and content distributors a direct migration path from C-band satellite to IP-based distribution.
The combined offering delivers rights-compliant, IP-based distribution backed by 24/7 managed service, including support for the SCTE 224 standard for rights metadata normalization, blackout enforcement, and schedule-driven source switching. 'The C-band transition is not a distant deadline for our customers, it is a decision they are making now,' said Zixi CEO Marc Aldrich, while Bart Spriester, senior vice president and general manager of streaming, broadcast, and advertising at Comcast Technology Solutions, said broadcasters are looking to operate linear channels more efficiently while continuing to scale distribution as part of their C-band transition efforts.
